Mouthwatering Air Fryer Apple Pie Bombs

These delightful Air Fryer Apple Pie Bombs combine a crispy, golden crust with a warm, spiced apple filling. Perfect for a quick snack or dessert, they bring the flavors of homemade apple pie in a convenient bite-sized treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 can (8 pieces) Pillsbury Grand Biscuits (not the fluffy kind)
  • 1 cup apple pie filling, diced
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3 tsp apple pie spice
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

Instructions

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 180°C (356°F). This takes about 3-5 minutes and ensures the bombs cook evenly.
  2. Open the can of Pillsbury Grand Biscuits and carefully separate the dough pieces.
  3. Place one biscuit on a clean work surface and shape it into a small circle about 5 cm in diameter.
  4. Add one tablespoon of apple pie filling to the center of the dough circle. Be careful not to overfill, as the bombs may leak during cooking.
  5. Fold the edges of the biscuit over the filling to seal it well. Press the edges together lightly to ensure they don't open while frying.
  6. Repeat this process with the remaining biscuits and filling.
  7. Dip the filled bombs in the melted butter and then roll them in a mixture of sugar, cinnamon, and apple pie spice for a sweet crust.
  8. Place the bombs in the preheated air fryer, ensuring there is enough space between them for air circulation. Fry for about 8 minutes or until golden brown.
  9. Check the bombs after 5 minutes and shake the basket gently to ensure they cook evenly.
  10. Once they are golden brown and crispy, carefully remove them from the air fryer and let them cool slightly before serving.

Keywords: Avoid overfilling the bombs to prevent them from bursting during frying. Ensure your air fryer is properly preheated for even cooking. You can experiment with spices like nutmeg or ginger to vary the flavor.
