  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil

Instructions

  1. Prepare your air fryer by preheating it to 190 °C. This takes about 5 minutes.
  2. Set up three shallow bowls. Fill the first with flour, the second with beaten eggs, and the third with breadcrumbs mixed with garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper.
  3. Take a string cheese stick and dip it first in the flour, ensuring it is evenly coated, then shake off the excess flour.
  4. Next, dip the floured cheese in the beaten eggs, making sure it is fully submerged for good breading adherence.
  5. Now, roll the cheese in the breadcrumb mixture until it is fully coated. Press the crumbs lightly to ensure they stick well.
  6. Place the breaded mozzarella sticks on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Lightly spray them with cooking spray for extra crunch.
  7. Arrange the mozzarella sticks in a single layer in the preheated air fryer. Cook for about 6-8 minutes, flipping them halfway through for even browning.
  8. The mozzarella sticks are ready when they are golden brown and crispy. Let them cool slightly before serving, as the cheese will be hot!
